Surrounded by the waters of the Chesapeake Bay, the Potomac and the Rappahannock Rivers, the Northern Neck is
a boating and fishing haven. Numerous marinas are located throughout the waterways to provide the boater with
service. Local charter captains offer their expertise to the novice and professional fishermen. Handicapped assistance
is available on many of the boats, if needed. No need to worry about tackle or bait, as that is provided for you.
In calmer waters, propel your canoe or kayak across the tidal ponds, rivers, and saltwater marshes. Guides are
available to assist you as you venture into pristine nooks and bays to view the birds and wildlife. State parks and
private campgrounds offer rentals for your convenience.
No trip to the Northern Neck is complete without a cruise on the Chesapeake Bay. Take the Smith Island Cruise or
the Tangier Island Cruise to the unique fishing villages. Be sure to make reservations in advance: The tour boats fill
up fast!
Water life is an essential part of the Northern Neck and its people. Enjoy our
waterways while you visit. No matter what style of boating or fishing you prefer,
you will experience it in the Northern Neck.
Amenities Fishing is only one of the pleasures to be found on the Chesapeake
There is a pool on the property, trampoline & playset.
There is a fire pit for roasting marshmellows.
Bring your horses, boat, jet ski or
kayaks. There is a large horse pen,
a boat launch and dock.
Don't forget your tubing & fishing equipment.
Twice in "07" we had very close encounters with dozens of dolphins. They love playing around the boats. This happened on the Great Wicomico River right before it meets up with the Chesapeake Bay.
